NEET 2020 revised syllabus fake news creates panic: NTA
Months before the examination, fake news stating that the syllabus has been revised creates panic among young medical aspirants. NTA clarifies, says nor revision in NEET 2020 syllabus
The National Testing Agency (NTA) had released a notification clarifying that no changes have been made to NEET 2020 syllabus. NTA has also warned the aspirants of NEET 2020 against fake news and rumours. The notification was issued after a fake public notice, mentioning NEET revised syllabus, became viral on the internet. Copy of the official notification issued by NTA debunking the NEET 2020 revised syllabus news is given below.
Addressing the concerns over such fake news, MCI has also issued the following warning ‘All concerned are hereby informed that all important communications issued by the Medical Council of India are posted on the website of the Council. The authenticity of communication may be confirmed from the Council website https://www.mciindia.org before relying upon any message circulating in social media.’
NTA has time and again urged aspirants of NEET to stay away from fake news. They must always confirm the authenticity of such news before circulating it. Who decides the NEET syllabus?
The syllabus of NEET 2020 is decided by the Medical Council of India (MCI). Candidates must note that NTA only displays the NEET syllabus, as prescribed by MCI.

NEET 2020 was originally scheduled to be held on May 3. However, the examination has been postponed due to the spread of novel coronavirus in India. According to the official notification, NEET 2020 will now be conducted in the last week of May. NTA will announce the exact date for NEET 2020 after April 15.
