NEET UG 2021 exam date has not been postponed or revised, the NTA has confirmed in Supreme Court that the students awaiting their CBSE results can also appear in the exam.

Despite the students demand to postpone the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (Undergraduate) or NEET-UG 2021, the National Testing Agency (NTA) is all set to conduct the exam on September 12. There is no update on any change in the exam date. NTA has confirmed in the apex court that the students awaiting their CBSE results can also appear in the exam.

Supreme Court will today hear a plea challenging the NTA circular on NEET UG 2021 exam date.

NEET UG 2021 postponement unlikely

As per the reports, there seems no possibility of the exam date being postponed. Ministry of Education and NTA had earlier clarified that the examination cannot be postponed further as it would set back the admission process by another two months. NTA officials have advised students to focus on their preparation.

The students are claiming that the NEET-UG date is clashing with many other significant examination dates and hence they want the medical entrance exam to be postponed till October. However, NTA Director-General, Vineet Joshi has confirmed that there is no such clash.

SC to hear the plea today

The Supreme Court will today hear the plea requesting for the postponement of examination as the CBSE and other exams are underway. The plea was presented on September 3 and was adjourned till today September 6. Legal experts have said that based on the merits of the case and the situation, it seems unlikely that the exam will get postponed.

The NEET-UG admit card 2021 will be released on the official website neet.nta.nic.in on September 9, students are advised to check the latest updates on the website.
