IAF has released the short notification for AFCAT 2 2022. Application window will open on June 1. The last date to apply for the exam is June 30.

Indian Air Force has released short notification for AFCAT 2 2022 on May 19. AFCAT 2 application form will be released on June 1, 2022 at 11 am and closes on June 30 at 5 pm. AFCAT 2 notification 2022 has been released to select male and female candidates as commissioned officers in Flying and Ground Duty (Technical and Non-Technical) branches. Recruitment will be done for courses commencing in July 2023 for grant of Short Service Commission (SSC) in Flying Branch and Permanent Commission (PC) and Short Service Commission (SSC) in Ground Duty (Technical and Non-Technical) Branches. The number of vacancies and exam dates will be notified to candidates in the detailed notification, scheduled to be released on June 1.

AFCAT 2 Eligibility Criteria 2022

Candidates applying for the Flying Branch should be between 20 and 24 years as on July 1, 2023. The age limit of candidates applying to the Ground Duty (Technical/Non-Technical Branches) should be between 20 and 26 years as on July 1, 2023. The basic educational qualification is graduation, however, this varies as per the departments and branches.

AFCAT 2 Training Procedure

The training of the candidates, selected through AFCAT 2 and AFSB interview, will commence in the first week of July 2023. The duration of the training for Flying and Ground Duty (Technical) branches is 74 weeks and that of Ground Duty (Non-Technical) branches is 52 weeks.

AFCAT Salary

Candidates selected through AFCAT 2 2022 will be offered appointment to the post of Flying Officer. The pay as per defence matrix is INR 56,100 to 1,77,500. The MSP is INR 15,500. Flight cadets will receive a fixed stipend of INR 56,100 per month during one year of training.
