The University will resume offline classes for UG students from February 14 and for the PG students from February 9.
The University of Allahabad has announced that it will discontinue online classes for all undergraduate and postgraduate courses. While the teaching of online classes for undergraduate courses will be continued till February 13, postgraduate classes will be continued till February 8. The University will resume offline classes for UG students from February 14 and for the PG students from February 9.
While the classes will be resumed for UG/PG students, the research scholars, as per a University of Allahabad statement, will be allowed to work in offline mode as earlier.
“The teaching of all classes for Undergraduate courses shall be continued in online mode till February 13, 2022, and from February 14, 2022, onwards, classes shall be conducted in regular offline mode. The teaching of all classes for postgraduate shall be continued in online mode till February 8, 2022, and from February 9, 2022 onwards, classes shall be conducted in regular offline mode,” Allahabad University said in a statement.
Allahabad University had restarted online classes from January 24 amid the spike in COVID and its variant Omicron cases. Allahabad University had earlier reopened with full capacity for teachers, officials and staff from February 2 onwards. Though the campus was reopened for the teachers and non-teaching staff, the classes were continued to be conducted in online mode.
On January 6, Allahabad University had announced that only internal official working will be carried out in the offices of the university and no public visitor/outsider will be allowed on the campus till further orders. All students were also urged to refrain from visiting the campus in wake of rise of COVID cases and its variant Omicron.
