NATA 2024 will consist of a drawing and composition section. Under the section, the candidates will have to attempt a question from composition and colour, sketching and composition (black and white) and 3D composition topics. The official NATA 2024 syllabus has been released.

Most of the colleges in India offer BArch admissions based on NATA scores. For higher chances of admission, the candidates are advised to attempt and qualify NATA. Some colleges (other than IIITs, NITs, GFTIs) also accept JEE Main Paper 2 scores for BArch admission.

• All candidates should have passed 12^th standard (or equivalent) exam with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as compulsory subjects.
• Minimum 50% marks have to be secured in the qualifying exam to be eligible for admissions.
• Diploma holders should have completed 10+3 qualifying exam with Mathematics as a compulsory subject and a minimum 50% aggregate marks.

CoA will conduct NATA 2024 in English and Hindi. No other language will be used to conduct the entrance exam. In case the candidates face any problems in the exam, they can contact the invigilators.

NATA 2024 registration process has to be completed before the final date. During the registration process, the candidates will have to provide their basic details. The login credentials will be generated after the candidates complete the NATA registration process.

The total duration of NATA 2024 is 3 hours. Out of the total duration, 90 minutes is allotted each to Part A (Drawing and Composition) and Part B (Multiple-Choice Questions). No extra time will be provided to the candidates to complete the examination.

NATA is only a qualifying examination. The actual admissions will be carried out individually by the individual institutes. Based on the NATA score and eligibility criteria prescribed by CoA and the institutes, the candidates will be allotted seats.

Candidates will be able to select a maximum of three test cities in the order of preference. It is important for the candidates to select their choice of NATA 2024 exam cities in the order of preference.

Candidates will have to upload the following scanned documents to the NATA 2024 application form.

• Passport-size photograph – The image should be recent and coloured. The file size should be between 4KB to 100KB and the file dimensions should be 4.5cmx3.5cm. The file should be in jpeg/jpg format.
• Signature – The file size of the image should be between 1KB to 30KB and the file dimensions should be 1.5cmx3.5cm. The signature should be uploaded in jpeg/jpg format.

CoA has released the NATA Application form 2024 on the official website.

After the candidates appear for NATA 2024, their score card will be valid for two academic years. After two years from the year in which they appeared, the NATA score card will be considered invalid.

NATA 2024 appointment card is the admit card that the registered candidates will be able to download. The details regarding the allotted test centre, session and appointment number will be released through the NATA 2024 appointment card. 

NATA is conducted by the authorities to measure the aptitude of the candidates for a specific field of study i.e. Architecture, through assessment of cognitive skills, visual perception and aesthetic sensitivity tests, logical reasoning and critical thinking ability, etc., besides the learning that the candidate has acquired over the past few years and is related to the specific field of study.

After the payment of application fee, the generated confirmation page will be considered as a proof of NATA 2024 registration. Candidates are advised to keep the confirmation page printed out for future use and reference.

It is to be noted that the NATA 2024 application fee is non-refundable in all cases. Once the fee is paid, the candidates will not be able to request for a refund of the fee regardless of their status of appearing for the exam.

NATA 2024 application form consists of three steps: filling in the personal details, document uploading and fee payment. All three steps must be completed to successfully be registered for NATA 2024.

For the offline test (Drawing and Composition), the candidates will be allotted 90 minutes. Similarly, for the online test (Multiple-Choice Questions), the candidates will have to complete the exam in 90 minutes.

No. The authorities will not provide the facility to fill out the NATA 2024 application form offline. All applications have to be completed online and submitted before the final date.

No. The authorities will accept only JEE Main Paper 2 scores for BArch admissions into the National Institute of Technology (NIT).

Candidates will not be required to submit the confirmation page to CoA through post. No offline submissions have to be made. The print out should be kept for future use.

No. There is no negative marking in NATA. Therefore, the candidates are advised to attempt as many questions as they can for higher chances of scoring high in the exam.

CoA has not yet announced the NATA 2024 application correction facility dates. However, the candidates can expect the correction facility to be available after the registration and application process is over. 

No. The authorities have specified Mathematics as a compulsory subject that the candidate should have studied in their 12^th standard to be eligible for NATA.

Candidates who are opting international centres as their first choice NATA 2024 will have to pay INR 10,000 for one session. For two and three sessions, the NATA application fee is INR 18,000 and INR 25,000, respectively.

No common NATA counselling will be held by the CoA authorities. Qualified candidates will have to individually apply to their preferred institute. Allotment will be done based on the NATA 2024 scores and the eligibility criteria decided by the authorities of the selected institute.

For the MCQ section of NATA 2024, the candidates will have to prepare the following topics.

• Visual Reasoning - Ability to understand and reconstruct 2D and 3D composition, knowledge about its composition and technical concepts.
• Logical Derivation - Ability to decode a situation, composition, context and generate meaning. Understanding the minute information hidden in a particular situation and concluding. 
• G.K. Architecture & Design - General awareness of architecture and design, current issues, recent episodes etc., Knowledge about important buildings, historical progression, innovation in materials and construction technology.
• Language Interpretation - Ability to correctly & logically generate meaning of words, and sentences, and understanding about English grammar.
• Design Sensitivity - Ability to observe record and analyze, people, space, product, and environment. Critical thinking, reasoning and ability to identify subtle communications.
• Design Thinking - Ability to understand semantics, metaphors, problem identification and definition, and analysis of a given situation.
• Numerical Ability - Basic Mathematics and its association with creative thinking. To unfold a space with the use of geometry.

Candidates should not divulge their user name, security question/answer and password to anybody.

Wrong/unused phone number and email ID should not be given during the application process. 

Poor-quality photographs and signatures should not be uploaded.

No confirmation page or any document should be sent through the post to the CoA.

Overall, the qualifying marks for NATA 2024 are 70 marks out of the total 200 marks in the examination. During the NATA 2024 application form process, the candidates will be able to pay the fee through EPG (electronic payment gateway) services. The options that will be available to make the payment through EPG services are debit card, credit card or net banking. After NATA 2024 registration, the authorities will send the unique ID number and login credentials to the candidates through email. The login credentials will be required to access the account for:

NATA is easier than the JEE Main examination because it includes several easy topics, and so a candidate can score well. The NATA cut-off is also less than the JEE Main Paper 2 cut-off.

According to the candidates who have passed 10+2, Diploma or equivalent exam with 50% marks in aggregate in any stream from Central/ State Government with Mathematics being the compulsory subject are eligible to apply for NATA 2024 exam.
