CFA 2020 June exam postponed following the outbreak of coronavirus. The earliest dates of the exam would be December 2020.

With the increasing number of COVID-19 cases, the government is taking all possible measures to control it. Following the outbreak of coronavirus pandemic, various exams have been postponed. One among them is CFA June exam, which has been postponed. The earliest possible dates would be December 2020. Candidates will be informed regarding the exam dates through email no later than May 8, 2020.

The official notice issued regarding this reads, “For the safety of our global community, CFA Institute has made the decision to postpone the CFA 2020 June exam. Do not withdraw from the June 2020 exam, we will contact you via email with more information and options by early May. The refund of fee is not done as the candidates are deferred to a future CFA exam date.”

The news regarding the postponement of exam was informed to candidates through email on March 19. Those registered for the June chartered financial analyst exam will automatically be transferred to the next two test periods, and the institute is working with its partners globally to determine when that might be. Candidates who exams have been postponed will have the option of at least one additional date to defer to in 2021.

The CFA exam is conducted across 193 cities in 95 different countries. More than 245,000 candidates were reported to have registered for appearing in the June exam.

CFA Institute stands for Chartered Financial Analyst, and the institute is based in the US but conducts the exam in select Indian cities. To become a CFA, one needs to pass the three levels of these graduate-level exams. CFA is conducted twice a year in June and December.
