The Human Resource and Development Minister, Dr Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ announced that CBSE 10th examinations will be conducted for the students of North-east Delhi only. According to the recent tweet posted by the minister on his official Twitter handle, the Central Board of Secondary Education canceled the CBSE 10th examination for class 10 students nationwide, except for the student from North-east Delhi.
According to the reports, the board will give adequate time to the students for the preparation of the exams. The HRD minister conducted a second webinar session on social to answer the queries of the students. During the session, the minister revealed the board’s decision to cancel the CBSE class 10 examinations for students all across the country, except the students of North-east Delhi. The minister also stated that the board will release CBSE Class 10 Date Sheet 2020 and CBSE Class 12 Date Sheet 2020 for the pending exams in the next one or two days.
Earlier, the CBSE in its latest tweet clearly stated that the board stands by its previous decision and it will be conducting pending exams for CBSE 10th and CBSE 12th students. The board posted released the official notice regarding the same when rumors about the cancellation of the pending CBSE exams started making rounds on social media. While proving the rumors wrong, the board said, “Recently there has been a lot of speculation regarding 10th CBSE Board exams. It is reiterated that the board’s decision to take board exams for 29 subjects of class 10 and 12, stands the same as mentioned in circular dated 1.4.20.”
Meanwhile, The CBSE answer sheet evaluation will take another one to one and a half months to complete. According to the reports, 2 lakh teachers will be evaluating the papers of 36 lakhs students. Students waiting for the CBSE 10th Result 2020 and CBSE 12th Result 2020 will have to wait a little longer.
The CBSE 10th and CBSE 12th examination got postponed due to the outbreak of the pandemic novel coronavirus in the country. However, before the outbreak of COVID-19, the examinations in the North-east area of Delhi got suspended amid the riots that broke due to the clashes between the anti-CAA protestors and pro-CAA protestors.
