CBSE 10th Social Science exam 2023 analysis: Easy to moderate difficulty level

CBSE conducted Class 10th Social Science exam today, March 15. Most students and teachers rated the exam easy to moderately difficult with all questions asked from the prescribed syllabus. All the questions were asked from the syllabus. 

CBSE Class 10th Social Science exam analysis: Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) successfully conducted the CBSE 10th Social Science exam at various centres between 10:30 am and 1:30 pm. Most students and teachers rated the exam easy to moderately difficult. They informed that all questions were asked from the prescribed syllabus. 

According to Ravneet Kaur, a Class 10 student in Green Fields School, Saket, “The Social Studies paper for class 10 was of a moderate difficulty level. Most of the questions were direct, but some one-markers were a little challenging. In set 3, the Political science section was given more weightage in terms of marks than the history section.”

Shikha Verma, HOD, Silverline Prestige School, Ghaziabad said that the question paper consisted of 37 questions with internal choice as per the board pattern. The difficulty level of the paper was moderate to easy. The language of 2-3 questions of history and civics was slightly tricky. The map question was easy. 

According to Bhawna Grover, PGT Political Science at MRG School Delhi, “The MCQ section was quite easy and rested on the basis of basic understanding of the chapters. Case-based questions analysed the learning of the students and were based on the context. Short and long questions tested the fundamental knowledge of the students as well.  Set 1 was much easier and Questions were not manipulative and given in simple language.”
