Application Process and Eligibility Criteria

Eligible candidates, specifically ST students from Assam, can submit their applications through the National Scholarship Portal (NSP) at scholarships.gov.in. Applications are open exclusively for students enrolled in government, government-aided, or government-recognised institutions such as schools, higher secondary schools, colleges, and universities.

Key Dates and Scholarships Details

1. Pre-Matric Scholarship:

   - Eligibility: ST students in Class 9 and 10 with an annual family income limit of INR 2.50 lakh.

   - Application Deadline: August 31, 2024.

2. Post-Matric Scholarship:

   - Eligibility: ST students with an annual family income limit of Rs 2.50 lakh.

   - Application Deadline: October 31, 2024.

ST Pre, Post Matric Scholarship 2024 Registration Process

To apply for the scholarships, students must first register using the "NSP OTR" app available on the Google Play Store. Face-authentication is mandatory to obtain a one-time registration (OTR) number, which is essential for submitting applications from the 2024-25 academic year onwards.

 Documents Required for Application

During the application process, candidates need to have the following documents ready:

- Aadhaar card and a mobile number registered with Aadhaar for generating the OTR.

- Income certificate issued by the concerned circle revenue officer, showing annual family income.

- Caste certificate issued by the district commissioner, ensuring it matches the applicant’s details. In case of any discrepancies in name or surname, a notarised affidavit must be provided.

- Valid bank account details linked with Aadhaar for the seamless disbursal of scholarships.
