Haryana School Summer Vacation 2024

Haryana School Summer Vacation 2024: In a move to mitigate the impact of the scorching heatwave currently engulfing Haryana, the state government has announced the advancement of summer vacations in both state-run and private schools. As per the latest directive issued by the Directorate of School Education on Monday, all educational institutions across the state will now commence their summer holidays from Tuesday, running through until June 30.

Response to Severe Heatwave

Previously, schools were slated to close from June 1 to 30. However, given the severe heatwave conditions prevailing across Haryana, authorities have taken the decision to bring forward the commencement of the summer break. Official sources have highlighted the necessity of this measure in light of the relentless high temperatures experienced in the region, with mercury levels soaring between 44-46 degrees Celsius in most areas.

Administrative Instructions

To ensure compliance with the revised schedule, the Directorate of School Education has issued directives to all district education officers, elementary education officers, block education officers, and block elementary education officers. These officials are tasked with overseeing the implementation of the updated vacation plan in all educational institutions across the state.

The decision to advance summer vacations underscores the government's proactive approach in safeguarding the well-being of students amidst challenging weather conditions. By prioritizing their health and safety, authorities aim to provide relief to both students and educators during this period of extreme heat.

Following similar directives, many states such as Pujab, Delhi, have already announced summer vacation in schools considering the health and safety of the students.
