JKBOSE 10th and JKBOSE 12th Syllabus Reduced by 30 Per cent: According to the latest update, the Jammu and Kashmir administration decided to reduce the overall syllabus for JKBOSE 10th Exams 2021 and JKBOSE 12th Exams 2021 by 30 per cent. The decision is taken by the administration of the Union Territory in the light of school closures and curtailed classes due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. The decision came as a major relief for JKBOSE Class 10 and JKBOSE Class 12 students who are supposed to appear for board exams next year and are not able to cover the syllabus due to the ongoing pandemic situation.

In addition to the reduction in JKBOSE 10th syllabus and JKBOSE 12th syllabus for the School students, the Jammu and Kashmir education department also took other important decisions as well in order to improve the overall quality of school education in the union territory.

- 30 DIETs to be developed as teacher training colleges for 3-year integrated B.Ed Programme
Jammu and Kashmir Board is the latest one among the education boards that reduced the syllabus for Classes 10 and 12, including the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), who is the first to reduce the syllabus for CBSE 10th and CBSE 12th in the light of COVID-19 pandemic. CBSE announced an overall reduction of school syllabi by 30 per cent, considering the “extraordinary situation” of the COVID-19 pandemic. On similar lines, State Board of Rajasthan, Gujarat, Haryana, Punjab, West Bengal, and Goa also notified reduction in the school syllabi.
