JNVST Admission 2025-26 Registration: The Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS) has extended the last date to apply for JNVST Class 6 Admission 2025-26. Students who have not applied yet must note that now the deadline for JNVST Class 6 admission 2025 is September 25, 2024. Earlier, the last date was extended until September 16. Eligible candidates can apply for the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test (JNVST) 2025 Class 6 admission for the academic session 2025-26 through the official website: navodaya.gov.in.
JNVST Class 6 Admission 2025 Application Guidelines
Candidates are advised to apply only once. If a student applied for admission in the previous year, their application will be rejected.
Exam Schedule
According to the official prospectus, the JNVST 2025 will be conducted in two phases: the first phase on January 18, 2025, at 11:30 AM, and the second phase on April 12, 2025, also at 11:30 AM.
JNVST Class 6 Admission 2025-26 Eligibility Criteria
General Eligibility
- Applicants must be born between May 1, 2013, and July 31, 2015 (both dates inclusive).
- Candidates must not be class repeaters; they should not have passed Class 6 prior to the academic session 2024-25.
Rural Candidate Eligibility
- Seat Reservation: 75% of the district seats are reserved for candidates from rural areas, with the remaining seats open to both rural and urban applicants.
- Education Requirements: Students must have completed Classes 3, 4, and 5.
- School Criteria: Candidates must have attended a government or recognized rural school for Classes 3, 4, and 5.
- Local Requirement: Class 5 must be completed in the same district where they are applying for JNVST Class 6 admission.
- NIOS Students: Candidates from the National Institute of Open School (NIOS) need to submit a rural status certificate confirming at least three years of residency and education in the area, issued by the relevant local authority.
Urban Candidate Eligibility
- Students who have attended school in an urban area (even for a single day) during Classes 3, 4, and 5 will be classified as urban candidates.
JNVST Class 6 Admission Exam Format
The JNVST will be a two-hour examination held from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM. It will consist of 80 objective-type questions, totaling 100 marks, across three sections. Candidates with disabilities will receive an additional 40 minutes to complete the exam.
