Karnataka 2nd PUC Board Exam 2024: No practical exam will be conducted for visually impaired students appearing for Karnataka 2nd PUC board exams 2024. Karnataka School Examination and Assessment Board (KSEAB) has stated that while no practical exam will be conducted, viva voce will be held for such candidates. The board informed that the decision to cancel practical exams for Karnataka 2nd PUC visually impaired students was taken after a meeting with the senior officials of the Commission for Persons with Disabilities at the level of the Department of School Education (Pre-Graduate).
According to the Karnataka 2nd PUC marking scheme, practical exam is conducted for 20 marks. The government has fixed the 20 marks for internal assessment for visually impaired students.
The decision was taken as it is “difficult to recruit writers for all short examinations and mid-year examinations for students with visual impairment and also to engage in projects to a full extent”.
The internal evaluation system for students has been introduced from the current academic year 2023-24. A circular regarding the order has been issued to concerned schools as well.
According to the Karnataka 2nd PUC date sheet 2024, the exams will be held from March 2 to March 22. Students and parents who have objections against the 2nd PUC Karnataka board exam dates will be able to challenge till today, December 15. The objections have to sent to the board's e-mail address, chairpersonkseab@gmail.com, and hard copy to the Chairman, Karnataka School Examination and Valuation Board, 6th Road, Malleswaram, Bangalore-560 003.
