National Teachers’ Awards 2024: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has invited eligible nominations from teachers and principals of private independent schools affiliated with it for the 2024 National Awards to Teachers. Candidates recognising exemplary contributions in the field of education across the country may apply. This initiative aims to honour outstanding teachers and principals for their dedication and innovation in shaping young minds.
National Award to Teachers 2024 Eligibility Criteria
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has outlined specific eligibility criteria and application procedures for the Teacher and Principal Awards 2024. Eligible candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Teachers: Candidates must have a minimum of 10 years of regular service as of March 31, 2024. Retired teachers who retired on or after March 31, 2024, are also eligible to apply.
- Principals: Applicants must have completed a minimum of 10 years of teaching experience and at least 5 years as a principal by March 31, 2024. Retired principals who retired on or after March 31, 2024, are eligible to apply as well.
- Application Rules: Principals cannot apply under the category designated for teachers. Each applicant may apply under only one category—either as a teacher or a principal.
- Application Deadline: Teachers interested in applying must submit their applications online through the official CBSE portals by July 8, 2024.
- Required Documentation: Alongside the application form, candidates are required to provide an undertaking confirming the accuracy of their details and the authenticity of uploaded documents. Essential documents include recommendation letters, proof of continuous service verified by the school manager, and educational certificates starting from Class 10 onwards.
