NMMSS Application 2024: The Ministry of Education has commenced the application process for the National Means-cum-Merit Scholarship Scheme (NMMSS) via the National Scholarship Portal (NSP) from June 30 onwards. Candidates seeking NMMSS 2024 scholarships may apply online through the official website of NSP, i.e. scholarship.gov.in. Candidates may follow the below-mentioned steps to apply for NMMSS 2024:
- Go to the official site of National Scholarship Scheme at scholarship.gov.in.
- On the homepage, navigate and click on new registration link.
- Enter required details
- After completing the registration process, fill the application form.
- Upload the scanned copies of the necessary documents (if required).
- Click on submit and download the page.
- Keep a hard copy of the same for further need.
NMMSS 2024 One-Time Registration
The One-Time Registration (OTR) application has been introduced on the NSP portal, featuring a revamped homepage, mobile app, and upgraded web version. Utilizing cutting-edge technologies, the application boasts an improved user interface. OTR entails a distinctive 14-digit identifier linked to Aadhaar/Aadhaar Enrolment ID, valid throughout the student's academic journey. The deadline for submitting new or renewal applications for NMMSS is August 31, 2024.

To decrease the dropout ratio at the Class 8 level, the government has introduced the National Means-cum-Merit Scholarship Scheme (NMMSS) for meritorious school students of Class 9 to 12 coming from economically weaker sections.
