UP School Timings Revised: Amid the chilling cold waves and dropping temperatures, the Uttar Pradesh government has revised the school timings in the state. The relief and revision in the opening and closing schedule is announced for secondary and higher secondary schools in the state due to thick fog. Meanwhile, the UP government has also announced school holidays in various cities on December 27 and 28. According to the order issued by the District Magistrate, the Ghaziabad school timing from Class 1 to 8 has been changed to 10 am to 3 pm.
The visibility dropped to less than 20 metres in several places. Due to the dense fog, there were at least eight fatalities and 30 others injured from various vehicle accidents across the state.
Aligarh schools closed!
Meanwhile Aligarh school under all boards from Class 1 to 12, including those under Aligarh Muslim University, will remain closed on Thursday and Friday. Similarly, the Mathura school timings have been changed to 10 am to 3 pm. Officials also announced that schools in Jalaun for Class 1 to 8 will be closed until December 31.
UP School Winter Break
As the mercury is falling drastically in northern India, the Uttar Pradesh government has announced a 15-day winter break, from December 31 to January 14, 2024. The state was engulfed in a heavy blanket of fog on Wednesday, making daily life difficult.
