Uttarakhand Board Exams 2020: UBSE 10th, 12th remaining exams from June 20

The reports also suggest that UBSE is planning to announce the UK 10th Result 2020 and UK 12th Result 2020 by July. 

Uttarakhand Board of School Education (UBSE)  declared the exam dates for pending board UK 10th and UK 12th exams in the state. According to the official statement released, the Board will conduct the remaining UBSE Class 10th, 12th board examination for the remaining subjects between June 20 and June 23, 2020. The board examinations in Uttarakhand were postponed after a nation-wide lockdown was announced to contain coronavirus spread. According to the media reports, the board is also planning to complete the evaluation process of UK 10^th and UK 12^th answer sheet from June 15. The UBSE board examination 2020 for remaining subjects will be held from June 20 and June 23 and subject-wise date sheet will be released soon. Earlier reports also suggest that UBSE is planning to announce the UK 10th Result 2020 and UK 12th Result 2020 by July.

UBSE Education Secretary R Meenakshi Sundaram on June 1, 2020, said that the district administrations will hand over the schools to the department by June 15, after which the remaining board exams will be conducted in the state.

Sundaram further added, "Around 340 schools were being used as quarantine centers which will be given to us by June 15, after which we will be sanitising the schools properly for three days till June 18. After the sanitisation programme, we are planning to conduct the remaining board exams from June 20-23."

The secretary added that special attention is being given by the department to ensure all social distancing norms are followed in the examination halls and a lesser number of students are seated in a single examination hall.

The UK board is planning to complete the UK 10^th and UK 12^th pending board examination before the rainy season starts in the state. If conducted in two shifts, it will take three days to complete the exams.

Asharani Painuly, chief education officer of Dehradun who had attended the meeting had said, “The secretary has asked us to earmark schools that were centres for board examination but now are being used as quarantine facilities as board examinations are most likely to start from June 18. The correction of examination papers will also start soon so that the results can be declared by mid-July.”

Sundaram also informed that the board is expected to begin evaluation of UBSE class 10 board exams 2020 and UBSE class 12 board exams 2020 answer sheets from June 1. The inter colleges that will be used as evaluation centres will not be converted into quarantine centres. Only primary and junior school buildings will be used as quarantine centres.

According to the UBSE board exams date sheets 2020, the class 10 and class 12 examinations were scheduled to begin from March 2 and conclude on March 25. However, the outbreak of the novel coronavirus disrupted the schedule and a few exams got postponed after the imposition of the nationwide lockdown in order to control the virus spread.
