Central Sanskrit University Jammu Collaborates with IIM Jammu for Academic Insight

Central Sanskrit University Jammu visited the new campus of IIM Jammu for a series of enriching activities designed to strengthen academic camaraderie and explore opportunities for mutual growth. Know details here 

The Central Sanskrit University Jammu embarked on a transformative journey of collaboration and knowledge exchange with a visit to the new campus of the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Jammu located in Jagti, Jammu. The visit featured a series of enriching activities designed to enhance academic camaraderie and explore opportunities for mutual growth. Prof. Sreedhar Mishra, Director of Central Sanskrit University Jammu, along with faculty and staff members, were present for the occasion.

Prof. B.S. Sahay, Director of IIM Jammu, emphasised the institution's commitment to collaboration as essential for advancing knowledge and fostering innovation in academia. He underscored the value of synergy from diverse perspectives and collective expertise in pioneering new educational frontiers and contributing significantly to society. 

Prof. Jabir Ali, Dean of Academics at IIM Jammu, provided a comprehensive overview of the institute's journey, from Canal Road Campus to the thriving Jagti campus. Highlighting Jammu's unique position hosting IIT, IIM, and AIIMS, he emphasised recent collaborations resulting in courses like MBA in Healthcare Administration and B.Tech + MBA. Aligning with NEP 2020, IIM Jammu focuses on case-based studies, ranked 15th among all IIMs by NIRF. 

Global collaborations enrich student experiences, while multilingual communication aids in international negotiations. Adaptability, he concluded, is crucial for educators' effectiveness. He mentioned that IIM Jammu is delighted to have engaged in insightful discussions and exchanges with their esteemed counterparts from Central Sanskrit University Jammu, and they look forward to further collaborations in the future. A collaborative spirit is essential for the growth and development of academia.

Dr. Barnali Chaudhary of IIM Jammu led a deep discussion on ethics and professionalism in higher education. Her presentation highlighted the institution's strong dedication to integrity, transparency, and ethical behaviour in academia. Using engaging stories and powerful examples, she outlined the core values fundamental to IIM Jammu's academic community. 

As the visit drew to a close, the delegation bid a fond farewell, carrying with them cherished memories and newfound inspiration from their enriching experience at IIM Jammu. This collaborative endeavour between Central Sanskrit University Jammu and IIM Jammu signifies a commitment to academic excellence and a shared vision of advancing education for the benefit of society at large.
