IIM-A to offer management programme for medical professionals

The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Ahmedabad has collaborated with DailyRounds, a Bangalore-based healthcare startup, to offer ‘Management Programme for Medical Professionals — Clinician X’ (MPM-Cx). The management institute has commenced the registrations for the third batch of MPM-Cx. Candidates willing to pursue the management programme for doctors at IIM-A can register at the official website — marrow.com/mpm-cx.

This year’s academic session will begin from September 2023 and classes will be held online by IIM Ahmedabad faculty. The total duration of the course is about six to seven months, including a two-day residential campus programme at IIM Ahmedabad and three-day global immersion experience at National University of Singapore (NUS).

IIM-A Management Programme for Doctors Fees

Candidates must note that the fees for the programme is INR 6.25 lakh plus GST. There are a limited number of scholarships available for selected students, that will cover a part of tuition fees. The batch size will be of 50 students. Candidates have to go through personal interviews conducted via phone calls based on their registration details. The minimum eligibility criteria for the course is MBBS.

This programme aims to equip medical professionals with essential management skills to take up leadership roles, address industry challenges and create innovative strategies that can improve healthcare accessibility and quality. It also aims to bridge the gap between medical professionals and management experts.

MPM-Cx programme not only includes domains of management for clinical professionals such as finance, marketing, operations, policy making, strategy, leadership and organisation behavior, communication but also addresses contemporary topics such as data science, AI, and product management.

Once the course is completed, graduates can venture into diverse fields including managerial and administrative domains, establishing their own entrepreneurial ventures, working in healthcare policy and administrative roles and more.
