A statement of intent has been signed by the director of IIM Calcutta, Uttam Kumar Sarkar with the capacity building commission on February 17, 2022, for knowledge partnership.

IIM-C to train Civil Servants: Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Calcutta has decided to collaborate with the capacity building commission, government of India. The collaboration will take place in order to design and execute training programmes for the country’s civil servants and draw up a comprehensive strategy of innovative management development training for civil services at multiple levels. A statement of intent has been signed by the director of IIM Calcutta, Uttam Kumar Sarkar with the capacity building commission on February 17, 2022, for knowledge partnership.

According to the official press release, IIM Calcutta has been working towards imparting training to civil servants and educators on modern innovative management development in the past as well. Last year the education department of Bengal tied up with IIM Calcutta for a workshop with the heads of government schools.

Talking about the institute’s collaboration with the capacity building commission, Uttam Kumar Sarkar, director, IIM Calcutta said, “Our collaboration with the capacity building commission is another instance of our commitment to the public good as an eminent institution of management education in the country. IIM Calcutta will lend its expertise to the design and execution of training programmes for our country’s civil servants and support them through enhanced learning competencies in their efforts of effective governance.”

Meanwhile, the b-schools received a whopping contribution of INR 54 lakh from the class of PGP 22nd batch for the upgradation of the Students Sports complex. This contribution will be utilized to reform the infrastructure and modernise the student’s sports complex.
