IIM Indore signs MoUs with state pollution control board, MPBDC

The institute also joined hands with the Madhya Pradesh Building Development Corporation (MPBDC) to revolutionize development initiatives in the state. Both the MoUs were signed by IIM Indore director Professor Himanshu Rai and MPPCB member secretary and MPBDC director Chandra Mohan Thakur.

IIM Indore has signed two strategic Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) on the same day, aimed at driving environmental excellence and enhancing development initiatives in Madhya Pradesh. Indian Institute of Management, Indore (IIM Indore) has signed an MoU with MP Pollution Control Board (MPPCB) to address environmental challenges and foster sustainability in the state.

The institute also joined hands with the Madhya Pradesh Building Development Corporation (MPBDC) to revolutionize development initiatives in the state. Both the MoUs were signed by IIM Indore director Professor Himanshu Rai and MPPCB member secretary and MPBDC director Chandra Mohan Thakur.

The collaboration aims at solidifying commitment to environmental preservation and creating a positive change. This partnership aims to leverage the collective expertise of both institutions in generating valuable insights and practical solutions for effective environmental remediation efforts and creating an innovative landscape.

Through this partnership, IIM Indore aims to leverage its expertise to enhance development initiatives in Madhya Pradesh, leading to sustainable growth and positive impact. The collaboration will facilitate training programs conducted by IIM Indore's esteemed faculty members for senior officials and personnel of MPBDC, ensuring the latest insights and strategies are employed for driving impactful development initiatives, the institute in its official statement said.

Professor Rai said the collaboration with MPPCB aligns perfectly with our vision of driving positive change and fostering sustainability. The research studies conducted by IIM Indore will offer valuable insights into policy reforms, pollution control, and socio-economic aspects, providing tangible remedial measures.

Under collaboration with MPBDC, IIM Indore will provide advisory support, management consulting, and expertise in exploring alternative sources of financing to the department. “The collaboration also emphasizes assessing the effectiveness of user engagement on IT initiatives and web portals”, Professor Rai added.
