IIM Jammu 6th annual convocation; Education minister to confer degrees to 259 MBA, EMBA students

At IIM Jammu 6th Annual Convocation the sixth batch of MBA and the first batch of EMBA will be graduating. A total of 232 students will be conferred with a Master of Business Administration (MBA) Degree this year, and 27 students of the First Batch of EMBA will be conferred with an Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) degree.

IIM Jammu to host 6th annual convocation

Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Jammu is all set to hold its 6th Annual Convocation 2023 today, i.e. June 16, 2023 at the Convention Centre, Gulami Bagh, Canal Road, Jammu. Dharmendra Pradhan, Minister of Education and Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, Government of India, will be the Chief Guest on the occasion and will be delivering the convocation address. At IIM Jammu 6th Annual Convocation the sixth batch of MBA and the first batch of EMBA will be graduating.

A total of 232 students will be conferred with a Master of Business Administration (MBA) Degree this year, and 27 students of the First Batch of EMBA will be conferred with an Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) degree. So, in total, 259 Students will be conferred with degrees this year. The main highlight of the convocation is that 57 female students will be awarded the degrees. IIM Jammu has recorded 100% placements for the sixth batch of the post-graduate MBA program in management. The highest domestic CTC stood at INR 64 LPA, with the top 10 percentile at 32.4 LPA, the top quartile CTC at INR 24.5 LPA, while the average and median CTC stood at INR 16.43 LPA and 15.25 LPA, respectively. The placement scenario at IIM Jammu has been on the rise and continued to create a strong presence in the industry as one of the fastest-growing IIMs.

On the eve of the 6th Annual Convocation, IIM Jammu will confer the Chairman’s Gold Medal (MBA), Director's Silver Medal, (MBA) and Chairperson MBA Bronze Medal (MBA), Chairman’s Gold Medal (EMBA) to the meritorious students for their scholastic performance.

Dr. Jitendra Singh, Minister of State (Independent Charge) (MoS I/c) for the Ministry of Science and Technology and Minister of State for Prime Minister's Office; Personnel, Public Grievances, and Pensions; Department of Atomic Energy and Department of Space, Govt. of India, and Manoj Sinha, Lieutenant Governor of Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir (J &K) will be the Guest of Honour on the occasion.

Dr Milind P Kamble, Chairman, Board of Governors, IIM Jammu will be delivering the welcome address. Professor BS Sahay, Director, IIM Jammu, will be presenting the Director's report highlighting the achievements of the Institute.
