IIM Jammu PhD admission 2023 begins; Apply by March 31

Out of all the applications, 20 applicants will be selected for PhD programme. There is 15 per cent reservation for SC, 7.50 per cent for ST, 27 per cent for NC-OBC, 10 per cent for EWS and 5 per cent for PwD.

IIM Jammu PhD Admissions 2023: Indian Institute of Management Jammu has commenced the admission application process for PhD programme. Candidates interested in IIM Jammu PhD admissions 2023 must note that the last date of application is March 31, 2023 on tentative basis.

Eligibility Criteria

In order to be eligible for admission, candidates must possess a master’s degree with at least 60 per cent marks in the bachelor’s as well as master’s degree. Candidates with professional qualifications such as CA, ICWA, CS, with at least 50 per cent marks or four-year 8 semester bachelor’s degree (10+2+4 pattern) with at least 6.5 CGPA or equivalent marks can also apply. Five per cent marks relaxation is given to the applicants from EWS, SC, ST, NC-OBC and PwD categories. Applicants must not be more than 40 years as on June 1, 2023.

Selection Process

Selection of the candidate wll depend on his/her performance in multiple rounds. There will be a Common Aptitude Test (CAT) for applicants followed by a personal interview of shortlisted candidates which will lead to merit list based on admission criteria and PI process.

Merit List will be prepared based on Personal Interview, Research Aptitude & Publications and Reference Letter, Academic Qualification and Relevant Work Experience. The applicant is expected to submit the research proposal and two reference letters while applying.

IIM Jammu PhD Fellowship

IIM Jammu full-time Research Scholars get the fellowship. The fellowship covers all academic expenses (consisting of tuition, computer, library, placement, and alumni fees) and living expenses (comprising boarding and lodging). In addition, a research scholar in the first and second year will be entitled to a monthly stipend of INR 35,000 per month, after the second year or after clearing the Comprehensive exam, whichever is later, he/she will be eligible for INR 40,000 per month.
