IIM Kashipur's International Conference Pioneers Future Trends in Marketing Innovation

The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Kashipur partnered with the Earl V Snyder Innovation Management Center at the Whitman School of Management, Syracuse University (USA) to organize the three-day International Conference on Marketing Innovation (ICMI).

Commencing on December 16, the ICMI conference assembled global experts, scholars, and industry professionals for an exploration and discussion of avant-garde strategies, trends, and breakthroughs in marketing and innovation. The event showcased keynote addresses, interactive workshops, and research presentations.

During the ICMI's closing day, seven individuals were honored with best paper awards, one for each of the seven tracks arranged throughout the conference. The event encompassed diverse topics, including sustainability and marketing, consumer well-being in emerging markets, product development, marketing strategy, technological innovation in marketing, and more.

IIM Kashipur director Kulbhushan Balooni and SP Raj, director, Earl V Snyder Innovation Management Center, Syracuse University (USA), and other distinguished guests were present during the valedictory session. They expressed their satisfaction with the outcomes of the conference.

Among the prominent speakers featured at the conference were Nirmalya Kumar, a marketing professor at Singapore Management University; DR Mehta, the founder of Jaipur Foot; Anand Jaiswal, a marketing professor at IIM Ahmedabad; Srihari Sridhar from Texas A&M University; Charles Noble representing the University of Tennessee; and K Sivakumar from Lehigh University.

Somnath Chakrabarti, dean (academics) of the IIM Kashipur, said, “The conference has provided a platform for the exchange of knowledge, fostering future opportunities for collaboration among academicians. It has also inspired attendees to rethink conventional strategies and embrace the transformative power of innovation and marketing.”
