IIM Nagpur inaugurated 2nd batch of Executive MBA program on Pune campus
IIM Nagpur inaugurated the 2nd batch of the Executive MBA program at its VAMNICOM, Pune satellite campus. Ashim Patil, MD, and CEO of i-TEK was present as a guest of honor on the occasion.
The Indian Institute of Management, Nagpur, inaugurated the 2nd batch of the Executive MBA program at its VAMNICOM, Pune satellite campus. At the outset, the dignitaries lighted the traditional lamp to mark the formal inauguration of the function. “The practical and unique design of the Executive MBA program will augment the working executives to a new avatar. One must learn and unlearn different topics to stay on top of the skill sets. IIM Nagpur is emerging as one of the top IIMs for corporate and executive education. With four pillars, viz. consulting, training, teaching, and research, IIM Nagpur has become a holistic business school,” said Dr Bhimaraya Metri, Director of IIM Nagpur, while delivering the welcome address during programme. He stressed the longevity of learning for being a leader.
“To become a successful entrepreneur, one should embrace failures and be comfortable with them. Being with the people and understanding their problems will allow one to propose solutions”, said the chief guest Vishal Gondhal, CEO of GOQii (pronounced Go-key), while addressing the participants. Despite being a college dropout, Vishal has succeeded by integrating his passion for gaming with different health management products. He advised the students to treat the body as hardware and the mind as software and upgrade themselves with changing skillsets of the current world. Vishal also suggested practicing team sports to embrace failures in the entrepreneurial world.
While addressing the new batch, Dr Hema Yadav, Director, VAMNICOM Pune, said that the collaboration between VAMNICOM and IIM Nagpur is an excellent opportunity for mutual interest and will allow both institutes to grow together. VAMNICOM has been working to uplift the lives of managers and the agricultural community. The cooperative management is a way to grow together and drive socio-economic development, she added.

He shared a story about his life with the participants. With a breakthrough achievement in RFID and NFC technology-related products, he showed how to solve social issues. Patil further suggested that the driver of the success of a proposed solution lies in an easy and smooth operation process.
“To become a successful management professional, one should be a good listener to find the right balance in life and succeed in this game-changer program,” said Dr Alok Kumar Singh, Chairperson Executive MBA program, while congratulating the new diverse & experienced batch for the next phase of the career progression.
