The business school has announced the completion of the review process of its course curriculum across the undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programmes. The changes aim to bring the latest developments in the industry and society to the classroom.

IIM Ranchi Curriculum Revamp: The Indian Institute of Management, Ranchi as a part of its strategic plan, ‘IIM Ranchi@2030’, undertook a detailed review of courses. The business school has announced the completion of the review process of its course curriculum across the undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programmes. The changes aim to bring the latest developments in the industry and society to the classroom.

Compulsory Courses replaced with Elective Courses

Under the new curriculum, the management institute has replaced compulsory courses in the three terms of the second year with elective courses. “Compulsory courses in the three terms of the second year have been replaced with elective courses. Students can select electives from across all study areas of the institute in all three terms of the second year. Mid-term examinations have been made flexible to provide greater academic freedom to faculty members. This development is expected to encourage faculty members to introduce new and innovative courses which cater to industry demands,” IIM said in a statement.

“Students are expected to benefit from these courses and explore new domains and create a unique niche for themselves while increasing their employability quotient at the same time,” it added.
