IIM Trichy Admissions 2023: MBA intake increased from 230 to 360
Talking about IIM Trichy Placements 2023, Singh informed that for the PGPM programme, the highest and average CTC stood at INR 41.61 lakh per annum and INR 20.55 lakh per annum respectively.
Indian Institute of Management-Trichy (IIM-Trichy) has decided to increase its number of seats for the MBA programme from 230 to 360 from this year onward. The announcement regarding the increase in the number of seats at IIM Trichy was announced by the institute director Pawan Kumar Singh. At a press conference here, Singh also announced that the institute will hold its eleventh convocation.
Talking about IIM Trichy Placements 2023, Singh informed that for the PGPM programme, the highest and average CTC stood at INR 41.61 lakh per annum and INR 20.55 lakh per annum respectively. For PGPM-HR, the highest and average CTC were INR 22 lakh per annum and INR 15.82 lakh per annum respectively. “We have increased our activities in terms of academia as well as executive education. Our faculty size has grown, and with this year’s intake, the total number of students will be 410. We are also in the process of recruiting at least 10 more faculties,” Singh said.
“We are supposed to get our grants from the Ministry of Education in two installments, each totaling approximately INR 330 crore. IIM-Trichy has already used its first grant to construct several buildings for INR 30- Rs 40 crore more than the allocated fund, through internal revenue generation.
However, the second instalment has not yet been released. That means, we generate money and run our institution,” he stated. New hostels that can accommodate 330 students at an estimated cost of INR 70 crore, along with eight new classrooms, faculty quarters and an auditorium are in the works.
