IIM Trichy inaugurates the third batch of the executive programme in leadership and change management (EPLCM)

Indian Institute of Management Trichy (IIM-T) has inaugurated the third batch of the ‘executive programme in leadership and change management (EPLCM)’. Sandeep Sinha, chief executive officer, TAFE Limited explained how leadership is the most written-about subject in the corporate world. He pointed out the importance of self-belief to become a leader. He also emphasized that good leaders must be fearless and not afraid of making bold decisions.

“As a leader, we must understand that respect is not an entitlement but something that has to be earned. We must identify the detractors, understand them, coach them and allow them to join the bandwagon. However, if they cannot do so, it is equally important for a leader to trim the noise and focus on taking the team forward,” he said.

Swati Gautam, alumni of EPLCM programme spoke about the course and how putting learnings into a framework helps deploy decisions in a more organized and controlled fashion. Prof Abhishek Totawar, programme director said that the course mainly focuses on understanding how organizations evolve, transform, and change. He talked about how leaders are at the focal point of this change and how their understanding of transformation and change is critical in determining the success of the transformation process.
