IIT Dhanbad, IIM Mumbai launch integrated Dual-Degree Program

The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Dhanbad has partnered with the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Mumbai to offer an innovative five-year integrated dual-degree program. This new initiative combines a Bachelor of Technology (BTech) degree with a Master of Business Administration (MBA), aiming to equip students with both technical expertise and managerial skills. This collaboration is set to meet the growing demands of modern industries, providing graduates with a strong foundation in engineering and management.

The program’s structure will allow students to complete foundational and advanced engineering courses during the initial years at IIT Dhanbad. In the final 1.5 years, students will delve into in-depth management studies at IIM Mumbai. Upon successful completion of the program, students will earn a BTech degree in their chosen engineering discipline from IIT Dhanbad and an MBA degree from IIM Mumbai. The program is set to commence in the 2025-26 academic year and will be available to first-year BTech students starting their third semester.
Applications and Enrollment Process
According to a circular released by IIT Dhanbad, applications for the integrated program will be invited from existing BTech students entering their fourth or sixth semesters during the Winter Semester (WS) 2024-25. This flexible approach ensures that students at various stages of their academic journey can apply for this dual-degree program.
