CBSE Board exams 2023: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will be conducting the CBSE Class 10, 12 exams from February 15 onwards. This year, the Board will be conducting the exams only once that is at the end of the academic year. Earlier, the Board had stated that the in the forthcoming sessions a greater number of Competency Based Questions or questions that assess application of concepts in real-life/ unfamiliar situations will be part of the question paper.

The Board will be conducting the Class 10, 12 exams from February 15. The same was announced during the result declaration on July 22.

CBSE 10th, 12th Syllabus, Pattern 2022-23

CBSE has also rationalised the coursework for students of CBSE classes 9 to 12 by around 30%. Curriculum for next year's board exams can be checked online at cbseacademic.nic.in.

There will be at least 40% competency-based questions in classes 9th and 10th. These questions can be multiple-choice questions, case-based, source-based integrated questions or any other type of questions. In addition, 20% of the questions will be objective-type and the remaining 40% will be short answer or long answer type in the 2022-23 CBSE class 10th final exams. 
In CBSE class 12 exams, a minimum of 30% of questions will be competency-based in form of multiple-choice questions, case-based, source-based integrated questions or any other type of questions. Also, the objective-type questions will carry 20% weightage and the remaining 50% will be short or long answer-type questions.  

CBSE Class 10, 12 Sample Papers

The CBSE Class 10, 12 Sample Papers will be made available for download at cbseacademic.nic.in along with the download study materials like sample question paper, marking scheme, question bank, etc. It will be published in due course of time. Preparing with sample papers will give students a good idea about the pattern and types of questions asked in the board exams.
