The overall difficulty level of CDS 1 2022 GK and English papers was moderate. Compared to last year, English was tough while GK was at par last year. Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) conducts CDS 1 2022 exam for admission to the Indian Military Academy (IMA), Air Force Academy (AFA), Indian Naval Academy (INA), and Officers’ Training Academy (OTA). CDS 1 2022 English paper was conducted from 9:00 am to 11:00 am while the General Knowledge exam was conducted from 12:00 pm to 2 pm. This paper was conducted for candidates who had opted for IMA, INA, AFA and OTA. The overall difficulty level of the General Knowledge and English sections was moderate. Students found the English paper to be tough while GK was easy. In English, Idioms and Phrases were tough. GK paper carried more Questions from Indian Polity and History. GK had a good share of Current Affairs questions. Around 15 to 20 questions were from Current Affairs. We have provided CDS 1 2022 exam analysis for English and General Knowledge. Shiksha visited one of the CDS exam centres in Central Delhi to gather their feedback regarding the difficulty level of the English and General Knowledge sections. Check below the reviews shared by the students.

Aman Malik said, "The English paper was tough. The GK section was easy. Around 25 questions were asked from Science."

Shivam Thakur said, "The English paper was decent but as compared to last year the paper was difficult. Antonyms and Synonyms were difficult. Comprehension was length and difficult. In GK, current affairs were difficult and there were maximum questions from this topic. There were questions from awards, defence. Questions were asked from Pinaka missile. Polity and History questions were easy."

Pawan Kumar said, "The English paper was difficult compared to last year. Questions were asked from Antonyms, Synonyms, Reading Comprehension, Ordering the Sentence. GK comprised questions from all the topics such as current affairs, history, polity, economics, etc. Current Affairs questions were asked from weapons, Pinaka Missle. The cutoff will go down as the English paper was tough."
