Delhi University Fee Waiver: Amid the devastating second wave of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the University of Delhi is mulling fee waivers to university students who have lost their parents to the novel coronavirus infection, according to the University officials. DU has directed its affiliated colleges to conduct a survey and prepare a list of such students who have lost either one or both their parents to the virus. Talking about the University’s plan, Dean of Colleges, Balaram Pani said, “Delhi University has written to its colleges to conduct a survey of students who have lost their parents due to coronavirus. We have sought a report in the matter by Monday.”
According to officials, Delhi University has three types of colleges. The colleges that are maintained by trusts; those maintained by the varsity; and the colleges fully or partially funded by the Delhi government.
