The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has decided to change the Convocation experience for all the graduating students by issuing blockchain-based digital credentials along with physical certificates and degrees. During the convocation, degrees, certificates and diplomas were awarded to the students who finished their course in December 2021 and have also appeared for June 2022 term-end examinations.

IGNOU 36th Convocation was held on April 3. President Droupadi Murmu awarded gold medals to meritorious students. As many as 2,79,918 degrees, diplomas, and certificates were conferred at the IGNOU 36th Convocation. Out of the total students who received their degrees, 55 per cent were females.
IGNOU Digital Degree 2023: How To Download
Candidates can follow the simple steps given below to download the digital degree:
- Go to the official website; i.e. ignou.samarth.edu.in
- Click on New Registration button
- Choose programme then select your programme, your Name along with your enrolment number then enter the captcha and submit
- An OTP will be sent to your registered email id which you have provided at the time of registration. Enter the OTP and click submit
- Now, Create a password
- Again go to the website and login with credentials
- Click on to 'My Certificate'
- Click to 'All certificates'
- Go to download.
- Once downloaded open the PDF file in Adobe Acrobat Reader for Signed Digital Degree.
