Q:   What is the eligibility criteria for B.Ed in IGNOU?

A:
Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) provides admission to its distance course Bachelor of Education (B.Ed. ) on the basis of merit in an entrance test conducted by IGNOU. IGNOU allows a maximum 5-year duration to complete this degree course. The eligibility criteria for the IGNOU B.Ed. are as follows: Academic eligibility: Graduation and/or post-graduation in any subject with at least 50% aggregate (except degrees in technology or engineering, where you need 55% aggregate). Professional Eligibility: Either be a trained "in-service" teacher in elementary education or have completed an NCTE-recognised teacher education programme in regular mode. Entrance exam qualification: The IGNOU-B.Ed. entrance test.

Q:   Can I pursue B.Ed through a regular college and M.Com through IGNOU simultaneously?

A:
The eligibility criteria and admission policies for pursuing two different courses simultaneously may vary from one university to another. Therefore, it is advisable to check with the respective universities offering B.Ed and M.Com courses for their policy on pursuing multiple courses at the same time. In general, some universities may allow students to pursue two courses simultaneously, while others may not. However, even if both universities permit the simultaneous pursuit of two courses, it may still be a challenging task to balance the coursework, assignments, and examinations of both courses. Therefore, it is important to consider the workload and time commitment required for each course before making a decision. In the case of IGNOU, the university allows students to pursue multiple courses at the same time, subject to certain conditions. As per IGNOU's policy, students can pursue one regular course and one non-regular course simultaneously, or two non-regular courses simultaneously. However, it is important to note that students pursuing two courses simultaneously will have to manage their time effectively to ensure that they meet the academic requirements and deadlines of both courses. Therefore, it is recommended that you check the policies of the respective universities and assess your own capabilities and time availability before deciding to pursue B.Ed through a regular college and M.Com through IGNOU simultaneously.

Q:   What if I don't bring an IGNOU ID card during an exam?

A:

It is compulsory to carry IGNOU ID-Card when appearing for the exam. However, in case a students forgets to bring the same, he or she can show an identity proof like Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, etc. Most of the exam centres accept identity proof in such cases but to avoid any kind of conflict, students must carry their IGNOU ID-Card along with an identity proof and admit card.
