IIT Bombay Admission 2021: Industrial Design Centre (IDC) School of Design, IIT Bombay commenced the admissions application process for its Master of Design (M Des) Program at the School for 2021. Candidates interested in IIT Bombay Admissions 2021 are advised to go through the eligibility criteria before applying. Candidates willing to take admission to the IIT Bombay MDes program must have a minimum of 55% (50% for SC/ST/PwD)/equivalent grades in the qualifying degree for individual streams. Applicant should have also qualified through Common Entrance Examination for Design for 2021 (CEED 2021).
The last date to submit the admission application April 8, 2021 (Thursday) at the official website of IIT Bombay, i.e. https://www.iitb.ac.in/newacadhome/mdes.jsp Applications will be accepted only after the payment of the application fee. The Application fee for female candidates, SC/ST/PwD is Rs.150/-. However, the application fee for General/OBC Males and Third Gender is Rs.300/-.
The qualifying degree for each specialization is as follows:
Animation Design (AN): Bachelor’s Degree in Design/Engineering/Architecture/ Interior Design or Professional Diploma in Design or BFA or GD Art. Communication Design (CD): Bachelor’s Degree in Design/Engineering/Architecture/ Interior Design or Professional Diploma in Design or BFA or GD Art
Industrial Design (ID): Bachelor’s Degree in Design/Engineering/Architecture/ Interior Design or Professional Diploma in Design.
Interaction Design (IN): Bachelor’s Degree in Design/Engineering/Architecture/ Interior Design or Professional Diploma in Design or BFA or Master’s Degree in Arts, Science Master’s Degree in Computer Application or GD Art.
Mobility and Vehicle Design (MD): Bachelor’s Degree in Design/Engineering/Architecture/ Interior Design or Professional Diploma in Design or BFA Sculpture.
