The 12-week course is being offered on the National Programme on Technology Enhanced Learning (NPTEL) platform by IIT Madras.
IIT Madras Admissions 2021: Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras commenced the application process for a free artificial intelligence online course. Candidates interested in IIT Madras Admissions 2021 must note that the course, called “Artificial Intelligence Search Methods for Problem Solving” aims at “providing learners with an understanding of a wide variety of search methods that agents can employ for problem-solving as an autonomous agent will have to behave in an intelligent manner for it to be able to solve problems.” The 12-week course is being offered on the National Programme on Technology Enhanced Learning (NPTEL) platform by IIT Madras.
The course will begin on July 26 2021 and will be conducted until 15 October 2021. The last date to enroll on the NPTEL platform is until August 2, 2021. While taking the course is free, an in-person, proctored certification exam will be conducted on October 23, 2021, and participants can opt for the same by paying Rs 1000. A certificate with logos of IIT Madras and NPTEL will be provided through the participating institutions and industry.
How to Apply for IIT Madras for Free Online Artificial Intelligence Course?
Interested participants will have to apply on the NPTEL platform by logging into SWAYAM using their Facebook, Google, Microsoft or SWAYAM account. Applicants can create a SWAYAM account following the steps given below:
- Go to the course page and click on the Join button
- Click on the sign-in option if users already have Facebook, Google, Microsoft or SWAYAM accounts, or use the Sign up Now option to create an account with SWAYAM.
- To create a SWAYAM account, learners will have to enter a username, password, email address and click on the Send verification code option.
- A verification code will be sent by SWAYAM to the registered email ID to create their account.
NPTEL is a project of the Ministry of Human Resource Development (now the Ministry of Education), initiated by IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Kanpur, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Madras, IIT Guwahati and IIT Roorkee along with IISc Bangalore. The platform offers free online courses in engineering, basic sciences, and selected humanities and social sciences subjects.
