Jadavpur University: Admissions open for UG courses in Arts, Science AY 2023-2024

Admissions are open for BLISc course, and undergraduate courses of Arts and Science for the academic session 2023-2024 at Jadavpur University. 

Candidates seeking admission to B.L.I.Sc course at the Jadavpur University must apply latest by June 26, 2023, and for admission to undergraduate courses of Arts and Science, the candidates should apply by June 23, 2023.

For the Bachelor of Library and Information Science (BLISc) course, the selection will be based on the written test.

"The Entrance Examination paper will be of an objective type consisting of 100 multiple-choice questions. The paper will carry 100 marks and will be of 11/2 hours duration. The standard of the paper will be of the level of knowledge as expected of a graduate of any faculty of a recognized University. There will be no negative

marking," reads the university's notification.

"From academic session 2023-24, all the students will be admitted to the 4-year Undergraduate courses under Faculty of Arts as per National Curriculum and Credit Framework vide UGC D.O. No.1-1/2021(QIP) (CBCS) dated 31/01/2023 and Notification No. 354-Edn(CS)/10M-95/14 dated 02/6/2023," added the notification for admissions to UG courses in Arts.

"From academic session 2023-24, all the students will be admitted to the 4- year Undergraduate courses under Faculty of Science as per National Curriculum and Credit Framework vide UGC D.O. No.1-1/2021(QIP) (CBCS) dated 31/01/2023 and Notification No. 354-Edn(CS)/10M-95/14 dated 02/6/2023," said the university for UG courses in Science.

Jadavpur University has also said that the candidates must not visit the university's office for information on admission and all the related information can be found on the website only.
