Calcutta University Vice-Chancellor Sonali Chakrabarty Banerjee informed that the students of first-semester for both undergraduate and postgraduate levels will appear for exams in the month of February.
Calcutta University Exams: Amid the rising fear of the Omicron variant of coronavirus surfacing in various states of the country, the University of Calcutta has decided to conduct exams via virtual mode. Calcutta University has announced its decision to conduct the examinations of the first, third and fifth semesters at the undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) levels via online mode in January and February.
Calcutta University Vice-Chancellor Sonali Chakrabarty Banerjee said that as a new variant of COVID-19 has emerged, the syndicate at a meeting decided to conduct the tests in digital mode at present. The varsity has already begun the classes for various UG and PG levels. The classes have begun for over 150 affiliated colleges and on the university campus respectively on alternate dates, both in offline and online modes. Meanwhile, the VC informed that exams of the third and fifth semesters at UG-level and third semester at PG-level will be held in January.
She further informed that the students of first-semester for both undergraduate and postgraduate levels will appear for exams in the month of February. Just like last year, this time also, the university will send the soft copies of the question papers to the affiliated colleges via email on the examination days besides uploading the questions on its website.
Students after attempting the questions on their smart devices email the same to a designated address. Another option to share the answer sheet is to download the question papers, write the answers on paper, scan the answer sheets and mail them in the form of a PDF file.
