Students will have to re-register themselves by paying a registration fee of Rs 5,000 and an additional examination fee to register for the exam. The last date for receipt of the re-registration fee and exam application is January 25, 2022.
The Directorate of Distance Education (DDE), Pondicherry Central University has announced that it has decided to give one more chance to the students to complete their course even if they have exhausted the maximum period prescribed to complete the degree courses. As per the varsity, the students of MCom, MA (English, Sociology and Hindi) and all other courses (from 2014-15 to 2015-2016) will be granted one more chance to complete the course in January 2022 session.
The Assitant registrar of the University K Mahesh also said that the opportunity will also be given to students of MBA (from 2005-2006 to 2015-2016 calendar year). The move comes after several students requested the authorities to provide them with one more chance.
The students of MBA should write an equivalent paper as per the new syllabus given on the website https://dde.pondiuni.edu.in, the release said. Students should re-register themselves with the DDE and the last date for receipt of applications with fees has been extended to January 21, it added.
"We received a lot of requests from students over the pandemic time to allow them one last chance to complete the degree. The university collectively felt that we can help our students in these tough times by helping them finish their degrees which will help them get a job," said Professor CK Ramaiah, Director of the Directorate of Distance Education at Pondicherry University.
