SPPU Admissions 2021: The Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) has now extended the deadline for admissions to various distance and open learning courses. All those candidates who have not applied until now must note that they can now apply on or before December 30. Candidates can apply online by visiting the official website of SPPU and clicking on the School of Open Learning department’s option on the homepage.
Candidates must note that the deadline has only been extended for the first year of BA, BCom, MA and MCom courses.
In order to apply for admissions, students must note that they have to create a profile on the admission portal and confirm all details, after which the option to select courses will be made available. For undergraduate courses, students will have to furnish a Class 12th mark sheet while for postgraduate courses, they will have to upload a graduation mark sheet. Besides mark sheet, students will also need to submit a school leaving or migration certificate. The academic session was earlier expected to begin from November 2021.
SPPU at present offers two first-year undergraduate degrees, i.e FYBA, SYBA and FYBCom and SYBCom through distance mode, besides offering postgraduate degrees like MA in various specialisations like history, political science, journalism, English and sociology, MCom and an MBA degree in distance mode.
SPPU SOL courses are very popular amongst the professionals seeking to take up degrees after having left education mid-way for several reasons or students who seek to work full-time and study part-time through distance mode. In the last academic year, more than 13,000 students had taken admission to the open learning courses.
