CUET 2022 Updates

CUET 2022 Phase 1 commenced on July 15. Several candidates who were slated to appear today could not do so owing to the change in the exam centre at the last moment or cancellation at a particular centre. NTA has announced that they would be given another chance to appear for their missed CUET 2022 exams in the second phase, which will be conducted in August.

Reportedly, CUET 2022 for Day 1 and Slot 1 was cancelled at two centres in Jalpaiguri, West Bengal and Pathankot, Punjab due to technical reasons. An NTA was quoted by PTI as, "Over 190 candidates who were to appear at the two centres will now be allowed to appear in the second phase in August. At other centres, the candidates who could not appear due to changes in exam centres will also get another chance."

Slot 1 of the exam concluded at 12.15 pm, which was termed as easy to moderate. While the difficulty level varied from subject to subject. Several candidates faced technical glitches during the exam. For some, the exam started late, while others experienced freezing of screen during the test. The overall exam hours were extended to maintain the loss of time.

On the other hand, some of the candidates’ exam centre was changed at the last moment, a night before the exam and to far away centres, which led to missing the exam. In a bid to give such candidates another chance, NTA has made this announcement.

After the release of the CUET 2022 admit card on June 13, a number of candidates complained about incomplete or incorrect information of their hall tickets. NTA had responded that they would verify and issue a fresh admit card.
