CUET UG Result 2022 Delayed Beyond Scheduled Date

CUET UG result 2022 has been delayed by NTA beyond the scheduled date of September 15. According to an NTA official, the result is now expected by September 16. Know the details here.

The CUET UG result 2022 has been delayed by few hours. Although NTA had announced that the CUET UG 2022 result would be out by September 15, 10 pm, it was delayed beyond the date. As per media reports, CUET UG result is now expected to be declared by 2 am of September 16 owing to the huge data pool of candidates and exam papers. A senior NTA official has been quoted by a national daily as “It’s a huge database given the large number of papers and subject combinations. The candidates have applied for 54,555 unique combination of subjects. The results should be up by around 2 am.”

On September 9, a day after releasing the provisional answer keys of CUET UG 2022, UGC Chairman M Jagadesh Kumar had announced that the results would be out by September 15 or even earlier. Candidates could submit challenges against the provisional answer keys till September 10. Regarding the answer key challenge, NTA has stated, “Challenges received online were placed before the concerned Subject Experts for verification. The NTA has now finalised the Answer Keys. This massive exercise involved a total of 2,219 Question papers in 13 mediums.”

Along with the result, final answer keys will also be released. The participating universities will also release their own merit lists or the shortlist of candidates who had applied for those universities. The admission process will be conducted separately by universities and the academic session of 2022-23 would commence by the last week of October or first week of November.

NTA had even reopened the CUET UG application correction window on September 13 till September 15, 10 am. Candidates could make changes or corrections in the fields of either their own or one of the parent’s names, date of birth, category, PWBD and choice of universities.

The CUET UG result has been computed based on the final answer keys and the scorecards would reflect the changes made by candidates in their application forms till September 15. The exam has been taken by around 14,90,000 candidates. CUET UG 2022 is the gateway to admission to undergraduate courses at 43 Central Universities, 13 State Universities, 12 Deemed Universities and 18 private universities. The exam was marred with technical glitches and other difficulties. CUET UG 2022 was conducted over a window of 20 days and 38 slots, divided into six phases, between July 15 and August 30.
