Delhi Budget 2022: Kejriwal government allocates INR 16,278 crore for Education Sector

The state Deputy Chief Minister called Delhi Budget 2022-23 a "Rozgar Budget". The minister presented a total budget of INR 75,800 crore for the financial year 2022-23, which is 9.86 per cent higher than the previous budget.

Delhi Budget 2022: A budget of INR 16,278 crore has been allocated for the education sector by the Delhi government. Education Minister Manish Sisodia on Saturday announced the budget a part of which will go to building boarding schools for homeless children and a Science Museum in a city school. The minister made the announcement while presenting the Delhi budget for 2022-23.

While presenting the Budget 2022, Sisodia said, "There have been initiatives to provide basic education to them (children) but they have been partly successful. We propose to set up a Boarding School for homeless children.”

During the speech, the minister also announced that the government will set up a School Science Museum in a Delhi school, and will also introduce its Business Blasters scheme in private schools.

Delhi Government Business Blaster Program

The Delhi government started the Business Blasters, a TV show last year to attract people to invest in business ideas of Class 11 and 12 students. Under this initiative, government school students are given seed money of INR 2,000 each to work on their business ideas. The government has revealed that seed money has been given to nearly three lakh government school students so far. These students will be coming up with nearly 51,000 business ideas.

The state Deputy Chief Minister called Delhi Budget 2022-23 a "Rozgar Budget". The minister presented a total budget of INR 75,800 crore for the financial year 2022-23, which is 9.86 per cent higher than the previous budget. The budget for the financial year 2021-22 was INR 69,000 crore. This is the eighth consecutive budget of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government.
