NID DAT 2023  Application Form to open around 1st week of October, check steps to fill the form

The application form will open in online mode for admission to the B.Des and M.Des courses offered by the participating NIDs.

The National Institute of Design (NID) will commence the application form for the NID DAT 2023 exam tentatively in the 1st week of October 2022. The application form can be filled in online mode at the admission portal of the institute - admissions.nid.edu. To fill out the form, eligible candidates will have to get registered, fill in essential details, upload documents, and pay the application fee. 

The NIDs currently have a combined intake of 425 seats for the B.Des program, while there are 347 seats for the M.Des program.

How to fill the NID DAT 2023 application form

The application form for the NID DAT 2023 entrance exam has to be filled out online following the steps given below.

1. Registration - The candidate has to go to the admission portal and click on the registration link. In the registration form that opens, enter your email id, mobile number, etc.
2. Fill in the form - The candidate has to next log in to the newly created account and fill in their personal, academic, and contact details. Also, select an exam center.
3. Upload documents - In this step, upload your photograph, signature, and other essential details.
4. Pay the exam fee - Finally, pay the exam fee of Rs. 3000 (open category) and submit the form.

NID 2023 admission process

Admission to the B.Des and M.Des programs at the NIDs is conducted through the NID DAT 2023 entrance exam, which has two parts:

1. DAT Prelims - The candidate will first appear in NID DAT 2023 Prelims.
2. DAT Mains - Shortlisted candidates have to next appear in DAT Mains; note that the scores of DAT Prelims will be used to make the shortlist.

The DAT Mains for the B.Des program includes a Studio Test, while for the M.Des program, the DAT Mains comprises a Personal Interview in addition to the Studio Test.
