The cut-off for M.Des admission is released in the form of rank and score of the last candidate admitted for various categories. If a candidate fails to meet the cut-off, he or she will not be considered for admission.

The National Institute of Design (NID) has released the M.Des admission cut-off for NID DAT 2023. The cut-off has been released program-wise for all categories and indicates the minimum rank or score candidates need to secure to get admission. To determine the cut-off, the admission committee considered various factors like the number of candidates appearing in the NID DAT 2023 exam, seat intake, merit rank of applicants, etc.

The cut-off for the B.Des program will be released shortly.

Factors that determine the NID DAT 2023 cut-off

To prepare the cut-off for the M.Des program, the admission committee, among others, considered the following factors:

  1. The seat intake for the M.Des program
  2. The category of the candidate
  3. The total number of applications received for admission
  4. The total number of applicants taking the NID DAT 2023 exam
  5. Previous years’ cut-off trends

Considering the above factors are variables, the cut-off would also vary if any of these factors change.

What happens if I fail to miss NID DAT 2023 cut-off

If the candidate fails to meet the cut-off in their respective categories, the candidate will likely not get admission. The only chance is any unexpected vacancies, in which can new allotment will be made and so the cut-off would come down.
