NID DAT 2023 Seat Allotment for B.Des (Round I) declared; download here

The candidate can check the seat allotment status online by entering their email id and date of birth. Candidates who have been allotted seats need to upload documents and pay the relevant fee latest by May 31, 2023.

The National Institute of Design (NID) has announced seat allotment results for NID DAT 2023 - Round I for the B.Des program on May 25, 2023. The allotment status can be checked online at the NID admission portal - admissions.nid.edu. To log in, the candidate needs to enter their email id and date of birth. The allotment of seats is made considering the merit rank of the candidate in the NID DAT 2023 exam and campus preference opted during counseling registration.

To confirm their seats, the candidate will have to pay the seat-confirmation fee and upload documents from May 25 to 31, 2023 (12 midnight).

How to check NID DAT 2023 B.Des Seat Allotment

To check the seat allotment status for the B.Des program, follow the steps mentioned below:

1. Click on the seat allotment link given below
2. In the log-in window that opens, enter your email id and date of birth
3. On successful log-in, the seat allotment letter will be displayed on the screen
4. Download and take a printout of the seat allotment letter.

Basis of NID DAT 2023 seat allotment

The seat allotment for the B.Des program is done considering the following factors:

1. Campus selected by the candidate and their order of preference
2. NID DAT 2023 merit ranks of applicants
3. Seat intake for the applied program
4. Whether the candidate belongs to any reserved category.

Post allotment options for the candidate

In case the candidate has been allotted the first preference seat, in that case, the candidate may accept or decline the seat. However, if the candidate opts for the 2nd option, that is, declines the seat, then the candidate will be disqualified from the admission process.

Also, the seat that becomes vacant will be offered to the candidate next in the order of merit. 

NID DAT 2023 Counseling: Fee to be paid to confirm seat

Indian nationals are required to pay a fee of INR 30,000 plus convenience charges. Only online options will be accepted.
