The seat allotment will be based on the NID DAT 2023 merit rank and campus opted by the candidate. The last date to confirm a seat, pay the non-refundable fee, and upload documents is May 31, 2023.
The National Institute of Design (NID) will announce seat allotment of NID DAT 2023 for Round I of the B.Des program on May 25, 2023. The allotment of seats will be announced online at the NID admission portal - admissions.nid.edu. To check their seat allotment status, the candidate needs to log in to the candidate portal using their login ids.
Candidates who have been allotted seats will have to pay the seat-confirmation fee and upload relevant documents between May 25 & 31, 2023 (12 pm, midnight).
Note that the campus selection for NID DAT 2023 counseling for the B.Des program was held from May 19-22, 2023.
Procedure for NID DAT 2023 seat allotment
The allotment of seats to the B.Des program will be based on the following factors:
- The merit rank of the candidate in the NID DAT 2023 exam
- Campus preference opted for by the candidate
- Seat intake for the program at the institute
- Category under which admission is sought.
Note that candidates who are allotted first-preference seats may either accept or decline the seat. However, if the seat has been declined, the candidate will no longer be considered for admission in any of the subsequent seat allotment rounds.
NID DAT 2023 Counseling: Seat-acceptance fee
Indian nationals need to pay a fee of INR 30,000 plus convenience charges. The fee has to be paid online.
