The National Institite of Fashion Technolgy (NIFT) hasn't released the admit cards for the Situation Test/ Personal Interview, neither has it relesed any notification as to when the admit card will be available.

So, the only thing student can do at the moment is wait and watch.

Note that the Personal Interview for the PG courses starts on March 20. In such a situation, all the confusion surrounding the admit card can only add to exam anxiety.

It is kind of a deja vu moment!

Yes, as the delay and confusion over the NIFT 2023 admit card prolongs into midnight and beyond, students are reminded of the sleepless nights they had to bear during the declaration of NIFT 2023 results.

But NIFT officials don't appear in any hurry to correct things as another deadline comes and goes.

Candidates are anxious to know whether the NIFT 2023 admit card is OUT or not. As of now, the National Institute of Design hasn't released the admit card.

But as the clock ticks towards midnight, chances are the admit card could be released any moment now!

The Studio Test and Interview for Artisan and Children of Artisan for admission to UG courses offered by 17 participating institutes will be conducted on March 26, 2023.

The National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) is expected to release the admit cards for the Situation Test/ Personal Interview anytime now. As per the official schedule, the admit card was slated to release on March 17.

The final result-cum-scorecard of NIFT 2023 will put candidates in the following categories:

• Shortlisted for Admission Seat Allocation with CMR
• Not shortlisted in Entrance Examination / Personal Interview
• Not eligible based on the verification of documents

The counseling process of NIFT 2023 will be conducted in June 2023. Candidates will be shortlisted for the counseling process based on their merit rank in NIFT 2023.

The National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) will release the list of eligible candidates in May 2023.

The combined seat intake offered by the participating institutes of NIFT 2023 stands at 5199 seats. This includes 4324 All-India, 405 state domicile, and 470 NRI seats.

Course-wise seat intake for All-India seats:

• B.Des - 2748 seats
• B.F.Tech - 542 seats
• Masters course (M.Des, M.F.Tech, MFM) - 1034 seats.

For candidates seeking admission to the B.Des program, it is mandatory to appear in the Situation Test, which will be conducted offline from March 24-27, 2023.

However, B.F.Tech applicants aren’t required to take the Situation Test.

Candidates seeking admission to the B.Des program must first appear in the Creative Ability Test (CAT) and General Ability Test (GAT). Shortlisted candidates have to next appear in a Situation Test.

The final results for the B.Des program will be prepared by giving weightage to GAT (30% weightage), CAT (50%), and Situation Test (20%).

The results of the CEED 2023 exam were announced on March 7, 2023.  Ms. Khyati Rathor is the top-rank holder (AIR 1) in the Common Rank List (CRL), with 68.85 marks out of 100 marks. 

The results of the UCEED 2023 exam were declared on March 9, 2023. Mr. Spandan Nath, who scored 194.16 marks (out of 300 marks) topped the exam.

Both the CEED and UCEED 2023 exams are conducted by IIT Bombay. 

The scores of UCEED 2023 are considered for admission to the B.Des program offered by the five participating institutes and 20 other result-sharing institutes.

Meanwhile, the CEED 2023 exam is conducted for admission to the M.Des and Ph.D. courses offered by participating institutes.

IIT Bombay announced the results of the CEED 2023 exam on March 7. The scores of CEED 2023 will be used by participating and result-sharing institutes of CEED 2023 for admission to their M.Des and Ph.D. courses.

The scorecard for CEED 2023 is currently available from March 11 to June 13, 2023. 

Candidates seeking admission to the M.Des program at the NIFTs have to appear in a Personal Interview round. There is no requirement for submission of a portfolio; the candidate also isn’t required to showcase any portfolio at the time of the interview.

There are 18 participating institutes of NIFT 2023. These institutes offer B.Des, B.F.Tech, M.F.Tech, M.F.M., and MDes courses. The program-wise seat intake is given below for All-India, State-domicile, and NRI categories.

The seat intake (All-India category) for the UG and PG courses offered by the NIFT 2023 participating institutes is given below.

The DAT Mains (Studio Test) for the B.Des program will be conducted on April 29-30, 2023. The Studio Test and Interview for the M.Des program will be conducted from March 20 (onward).

Candidates have been shortlisted for DAT Mains based on their scores in DAT Mains.

The National Institute of Design (NID) declared the results of DAT Prelims for the B.Des program on March 16 (originally, the result was scheduled to be declared on March 30).

The final merit list for the B.F.Tech program will be prepared by giving 100% weightage to the GAT.

During declaration of NIFT 2023 results, students faced one trouble after another. In the first instance, NIFT results 2023 were announced on March 10, but had to be withdrawn.

Finally, when the results were declared on March 13, many students were not able to log-in to the result portal.

So, there is a concern among the student community as to whether there will another confusion this time around the release of the NIFT 2023 admit cards.

The NIFT 2023 Situation Test will be conducted offline at various NIFT campuses. On the day of the exam, the candidate must bring with them the NIFT 2023 admit card and a valid photo id proof.

Note that candidates without these documents will not be allowed to enter the exam venue.

NIFT officials haven't given any specific time for the release of the NIFT 2023 admit card for the Personal Interview and Situation Test. So, candidates are urged to keep visiting this space for the latest updates on the admit card.

The results of NIFT 2023 written exams were declared on March 13, 2023; the results of the exam that were released on March 10 have been withdrawn. The results were declared online at niftadmissions.in. 

Candidates who qualify in the NIFT 2023 written exams are eligible to appear in the Situation Test/ Personal Interview.

The NIFT 2023 written exams were conducted on February 5, 2023.

The written exams of NIFT 2023 comprise the Creative Ability Test (CAT) and the General Ability Test (GAT). The GAT paper is mandatory for all programs; however, only B.Des and M.Des applicants need to take the CAT test.

The National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) will conduct the personal interview for the M.Des in online mode via zoom link.
