Objections against the NIFT 2023 answer key

The paper was very easy, especially compared to last year.
The English section was easier than last year,
In CAT, you can have to make designs of letterboxes, phones, an automobile, etc.
Logical reasoning had the maximum number of questions; especially the maths-based ones.
The GAT paper wasn’t lengthy.
As far as technical issues in the GAT paper are concerned, I didn’t face any. A few students did face some technical issues.

I found the CAT paper easy. Questions related to shapes and lines were asked. The comic strip was also easier this year.

NIFT 2023 written exams
The written exams for NIFT 2023 will include the General Ability Test (GAT) and the Creative Ability Test (CAT).
The GAT is common for all programs - B.Des, M.Des, B.F.Tech, M.F.Tech, and M.F.M courses.
However, the CAT, which is a sketching-based test is meant for the B.Des and M.Des candidates only.
Candidates who qualify in the written exams will next have to appear in a Situation Test/ Personal Interview.

The GAT paper is being held from 9.30 am - 11.30 am. The 2-hour-long paper is being held in a computer-based mode and includes objective-type questions.

Proper conduct inside the NIFT 2023 exam venue
The exam conducting body has postulated some strict guidelines for candidates appearing in the NIFT 2023 exam. These include.
- The candidate mustn’t carry written material, including textbooks, hidden papers, etc. inside the exam venue.
- Avoid adopting unfair means like cheating.
- Refrain from disturbing or assisting other candidates.
- Not following instructions given by the exam invigilator.
Any of the above anomalies can lead to the disqualification of the candidate.

How to find details of the NIFT 2023 exam center
The name and address of the exam center allocated to the candidate will be mentioned on the NIFT 2023 admit card, along with the exam center code.
Additionally, the admit card will contain exam-day guidelines that candidates need to follow. Note that the admit card is provisional in nature.

NIFT 2023 exam-day guidelines
On the day of the NIFT 2023 exam, the candidate needs to follow the following guidelines:
- Document checklist - The candidate needs to carry with them the NIFT 2023 admit card and a valid photo ID proof.
- Stationery items - The candidate must bring their own stationery items, including pen, pencil, and erasers.
- Reporting time - The NIFT 2023 admit card will contain the reporting times for the CAT and GAT written exams; it is important that the candidate sticks to the mentioned time.
- Barred Items - The candidate mustn’t carry anu electronic items, like smartphones, smartwatches, camera, calculators, etc, with them inside the exam venue. Also, in the barred items list include written text, books, or any items that may provide the candidate with an undue advantage over other candidates in the exam.
- Cheating, helping, or disturbing other candidates - Such kind of activities may lead to the disqualification of the candidate from the admission process.
- Attempting the paper - The candidate must attempt the easy questions first and then move on the difficult questions. Also, if the candidate is not able to solve a problem, it is wise not to waste too much time on the question, but rather move on to the next question. If there is time left at the end, the candidate may come back and try that question once more.

Reporting Time for GAT written test
The General Ability Test (GAT) is mandatory for all courses - B.Des, M.Des, B.F.Tech, M.F.Tech, and M.F.M courses.
Candidates must report for the GAT exam at: 8.30 am.
Note that there are exam formalities to be completed, including identity verification, registration, and frisking. So, it is recommended that the candidate is not late for the exam.

The admit cards for the NIFT 2023 were released on January 16, 2023. The candidate must download and take a printout of the NIFT 2023 admit card and bring it with them on exam day. Additionally, the candidate must also bring with them valid photo id proof.
