The re-exam will be conducted for candidates who faced technical issues during the NIFT 2023 written exams conducted on February 5, 2023. Check important details about the re-exam here.
The National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) will conduct a re-exam for the GAT paper for candidates who couldn’t complete their paper on February 5, 2023. NIFT officials have already released the list of exam centers for which the paper will be re-conducted. It may be noted that candidates faced technical issues during the GAT written exam in these centers. The exam date for the re-exam is expected to be announced shortly.
The NIFT 2023 written exams comprise the Creative Ability Test (CAT) and the General Ability Test (GAT). Technical issues occurred during the computer-based GAT paper. However, no issues were reported during the offline-based CAT paper.
Consequently, there will no re-exam for CAT.
Exam centers for which GAT paper will be re-conducted
Candidates in the following centers faced technical issues and couldn’t complete their papers. Consequently, the paper will now be conducted again.

- VIDHAN PUBLIC SCHOOL - GHAZIABAD
- M.P ENGLISH SCHOOL - VARANASI
- P.T. SALAGRAM - NOIDA
Exam date of the GAT re-exam
NIFT officials haven’t released any notification yet on its website regarding the new exam schedule for the GAT paper.
It is likely that the paper will be conducted in the 2nd or 3rd week of February 2023.
Exam venue and admit cards for the GAT re-exam
Exam officials may release fresh NIFT 2023 admit cards for the re-exam. In that case, candidates have to re-download the admit card from the NIFT 2023 admission portal.
The admit card will contain details pertaining to the exam date, venue, and exam day guidelines.
